The Mid Maryland Performing Art Center’s (MMPAC) mission is to instill a lifelong love and appreciation of the arts for dancers of all ages, abilities, and passions. FX is the Mid Maryland Performing Art Center’s resident student repertory company. Reserved for MMPAC’s most dedicated and serious students, FX members maintain a rigorous dance schedule; training in a variety of styles and genres, as well as, attending weekly repertory rehearsals. Dancers gain pre-professional, real-world experience by attending master classes, conventions, dance festivals, and participating in performances, both, local and abroad. As ambassadors of the studio, FX company members are expected to uphold the standards of MMPAC and to model discipline, respect, and a positive attitude. In addition to training and performing, FX dancers participate in multiple outreach programs and events giving back to their community.
